Not gonna lie, I always love writing these posts. I love seeing how my net worth changes over time, and love seeing that slow and steady trend upwards (hopefully!). Without further ado:

  • Taxable portfolios (includes cash in money market accounts): $65,078.94
  • Tax-deferred portfolios (my IRA; includes cash in money market accounts): $41,542.53
  • 401(k) (includes employer match): $12,577.59
  • Hard assets/commodities: $2,618.00
    • Listed at purchase price, not appraised value
  • Cash and cash equivalents: $11,190.95
  • Debt: – $0.00

Total Net Worth: $133,008.01

This is a 5.34% increase from the last time I calculated my net worth, which was $126,257.68 at the end of October 2014.

My thoughts:

Well, another solid month of increases! Not much to complain about, which is slightly disappointing since I love to complain! :)

My two major spikes were in my 401(k) and cash balance. 401(k) is nothing special, just my standard monthly contribution. The cash balance is higher than normal because this month will be tight on money. My girlfriend is coming up to stay with me until after the New Year, so I want to have enough to pay off any expenses that come up. We have a small vacation at a B&B scheduled over one weekend, which should be fun. Besides that, I have some insurance bills coming due this month, as well as two medical things (nothing serious, just routine visits). On the positive side, I should be getting a small Christmas bonus in a few weeks. That should help me take advantage of whatever deals are left in the market, since I didn’t buy too much at the beginning of the month.

All in all, a decent month. Nothing special happened, which is just the way I like it!

How’s the month been for you, in terms of net worth?

      Thank you! I hope by this time, 2015. I figure at $133,000 + ~$45,000 annual contributions + compounding, I think that’s a reasonable estimate.

    DD,

Congrats on the big move up. Although the percentages will fall as your numbers grow, extrapolating out the real growth there puts you in a great spot when you start looking at the long-term trajectory. Especially for your age. Keep up the fantastic work!

    Best regards.

I love seeing people’s monthly increases who have balances over $100,000 – it’s so crazy to me that each month can make thousands of dollars of difference – and awesome! It always encourages me to keep plugging along.

Yeah, it’s still a shock for me to be at that point. Wasn’t too long ago that I was in the low 5 digits, and now, my monthly increases and decreases exceed my monthly contribution. Compounding at work! Thanks for stopping by!

Looking solid man, keep it up! Can’t wait to finally step up with the big boys and have a 6 figure portfolio as well.

    Have a great weekend
